The Uses and Abuses of Computer

Computer is one of the greatest inventions of the modern science. It is such a latest technology which is used almost everywhere. It is an electronic device but it can perform like a human brain. It has the ability to complete more than one task in a very short time. It has the highest rate of efficiency and it is able to work of many human beings alone within less time.

A computer generally works using input and output devices. It uses hardware and software to process any data in it. The data which we put into the computer is called input data and the data which we get from the computer after processing is called output data. It can calculate and solve big problems. It is a big dictionary and large storage device.

This great invention was not invented overnight. It was invented by British professor Charles Babbage. The first computer was a mechanical Computer. It can save any type of large amount of data like information, images, audio, video, study materials etc. So, it is being used in different fields like banks, offices, educational institutions, hospitals etc.

We can browse internet to search any information and communicate with each other with the help of computer. We can save lots of time and effort through the computer and it has also lessened the paper works in governmental or non-governmental offices or institutions.

Computer is very safe and easy for the business transactions. New generation computers are highly advanced. It is being used in almost all walks of life. It is called the backbone of the information technology. It has also negative sides like cyber crime, pornographic websites etc. But it can be protected by taking some measurable steps.

Above all, computer is very beneficial to all the people specially the students. So, computer education must be compulsory in all the schools, colleges and universities in all the countries of the world.
